Looking for something to do? We will be teaching a variety of classes and camps throughout Michigan and the surrounding area this year.
Classes are typically afernoon or evening activities in a small to medium size group.
Herbal Medicine Cabinet Series, Feb 2, Feb 16, & March 2, (1-4pm each day) Chelsea MI
What would your medicine cabinet would look like if you replaced your over the counter stuff with herbal remedies? Now is your chance to find out! In this series, we will make salves, balms, tinctures, syrups, compresses, and teas to treat everthing from cuts, scrapes and muscle aches to cold and flu. Take 1 class, 2 classes, or take the entire series and replace your OTC medicines with your own, homemade remedies. $40 per class or $100 for entire series. Reserve your spot here.
Edible Plants Foraging Walk, May 5, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., Eddy Discover Center, Chelsea MI
Find out what Mother Nature has to offer as we look for edible, medicinal, and otherwise useful plants and mushrooms on the Discovery Center trails. The walk will be leisurely, but participants need to be able to handle uneven, shrubby or muddy ground, as we may leave the trail to search for these plants. Sponsored by the Friends of Eddy Discovery Center, $3 donation requested.
Events are large gatherings of people, often for multiple days, with several different instructors and activies.

Wild Foods at Great Lakes Primitives Gathering, August 14-18, Chelsea, MI
Plant Walks and Wildcrafts at Hollerfest, August 23-25, Brooklyn, MI
Camps are small group intensives taught by one or two instructors. Camps have very limited space to allow for a lot of instructor-student interaction.
Mushroom Camp, May 24-26, in Michigan’s southern peninsula (exact location TBD based on morel conditions)
