FALL WILD FOODS POTLUCK
Do you like to forage, fish, or hunt? Or maybe you would like to learn more about finding and eating wild foods? Then this event is for you!! Will Forage for Food, Nature Learning Community, and Holistic Survival School are working together to sponsor this event. Our goal is to educate people about the joys of connecting with the earth and bring those who like to live from the land together for a community event. So come and join us for our Fall Wild Foods Potluck. All ages and experience levels welcome.Date: 10/10/15Time: 4:00-9:00pmLocation: Sunward Cohousing community building, 424 Little Lake Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48103Schedule:4:00- Activities: Luke McLaughlin (Holistic Survival School, Naked and Afraid in Namibia) will be leading a plant walk. Rachel Mifsud (Will Forage for Food) will do a demo on processing wild roots for starch.5:30- Potluck Dinner: Celebrate the harvest! Bring a dish that features wild ingredients (dishes featuring gardened or purchased ingredients are also welcome). First prize for the yummiest dish is a signed copy of Lisa Rose’s Midwest Foraging.7:00- Barter and Swap: Bring your excess from your woods, your gardens, your pantry, your barn, and your kitchen to swap with others.
